  • Graduate Diploma of Science (Clinical Psychology) – Swinburne University (completed 3 subjects, 2009)

  • Postgraduate Behavioural Sciences (Non-Award subject) – Deakin University (2009)

Sally-Anne was endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist in March 2010 and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and American Psychological Association (APA). She also serves on the APS Private Practice Working Party Committee.

 

Career

Sally-Anne McCormack is a Clinical Psychologist, author, and media commentator with more than 20 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She is the Founder of ANTSA, an award-winning digital mental health platform designed to help practitioners engage, monitor, and support clients between sessions through real-time mood tracking, automated tasks, psychoeducation, and AI-assisted tools.

Before becoming a psychologist, Sally-Anne was a teacher, giving her unique insight into child and adolescent development. She has since built a diverse career spanning private practice, teaching, media commentary, and resource development, making psychological concepts accessible to the wider community.

She is the author of Stomp Out The ANTs – Automatic Negative Thoughts and Living With ANTs, and creator of the children’s resource Which ANT Are You?. Her professional expertise has been widely recognised, with regular appearances on programs including Sunrise, The Morning Show, The Project, Studio 10, and A Current Affair. She has also hosted regular radio segments on 3AW and ABC Radio, and produced her own Foxtel program, The Sally-Anne Show. In addition, she has contributed extensively to print media.

Alongside her practice and media work, Sally-Anne has facilitated group programs for children, teens, and adults focused on preventing and treating depression. She has delivered presentations both nationally and internationally and has served as a registered APS Media Commentator since 2006. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Special Education teacher, as a psychologist with the Catholic Education Office, and with Assessments Australia, where she conducted school assessments, interventions, and independent reviews for government disability funding applications.

Through her work and innovation with ANTSA, Sally-Anne continues to advocate for accessible, sustainable, and technology-driven mental health care, supporting both practitioners and their clients.
