Sally-Anne McCormack is a clinical psychologist with private practices in Blackburn and Burwood East in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. She is a registered psychologist, counsellor, media consultant, former teacher, wife and mother of four. In addition, she became an author when her first book - "Stomp Out The ANTs" was launched in 2010.

Psychologists assist adults who are facing challenges such as stress, depression, anxiety, sleep problems (eg. insomnia), individual issues, along with a variety of other difficulties in their day-to-day lives. Sally-Anne has been accredited to support a self-help sleep program. She and her colleagues provide support and advice for parents and teachers in terms of behaviour management, classroom strategies, counselling needs and other challenges.

Sally-Anne has specific interests in the prevention and treatment of depression in children and adolescents, and the unique difficulties that gifted students face in their schooling and personal lives. In her practices, she regularly counsels parents with the issues they face raising their children and teens in the 21st century. She has another website - ParentsOnline - which has articles, forums and information for those dealing with the younger generation. As an international speaker and counsellor, she has travelled overseas to speak on issues such as the problems with computer (& internet) addiction, and presents to organisations and schools on various cyber safety challenges.

As a Melbourne psychologist, Sally-Anne is often consulted by various media to comment professionally on current topics both in Victoria and interstate/overseas.

Sally-Anne has a commitment to the highest standards of professional practice which is demonstrated by her membership with the Australian Psychological Society (A.P.S.) where she is registered as a media spokesperson. She is also a past-committee member of the Victorian Association of Gifted & Talented Children (V.A.G.T.C.) and is currently on the committee of the Private Practice Working Party (P.P.W.P.) for psychologists. In addition, she is a committee member of ADAVIC (Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria).

In addition to her professional associations as a clinical psychologist, Sally-Anne is a member of the Hartwell Players (Melbourne's oldest performing community theatre company) which encourages the involvement of youth in theatre.

Professional counselling is offered to people of all ages, along with skills training and assessments. Group programs are available to educate children and adolescents about particular areas. Sally-Anne is the author of the "Stomp Out The ANTs" Program (formerly the "LIFE STRATEGIES PROGRAM"). She also co-facilitates groups for adults - "Dealing with Depression", "Dealing with Anxiety" and "Dealing with Depression".  Currently she is writing a book giving practical advice to parents of gifted children which she hopes to publish in 2012.
